Hello everyone! I know It has been a while since I got back from Milan, but I still want to share with you my experience in this amazing city of Italy! Even though I’ve visited Italy for more than six times in my life I’ve never been in Milan before! Many people where saying that Milan is boring, it’s only one street and you won’t have anything to do there, but for us 3 days passed by like one and we loved this city! Maybe it is because I love Italy and I always like it, but this trip was super fun! Of course, if you’re planning to visit Milan for 4-5 days I would highly recommend to get train tickets and go to Como city, because it is really unique and beautiful too!

Accommodation

During our stay in Milan we lived in an apartments from Aribnb ( https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2718812The main reasons we loved this place was perfect location, reasonable price & espresso machine next to my bed!!! Talking about location it was 9 minutes walk from Duomo cathedral, it has a huge amount of cute cafes & restaurants next to it and it is really near metro station (we used it for transfer to the airport). The apartments itself were cute and comfortable, but the two best things it had was espresso machine next to our bed and a normal iron which always helps when your clothes are looking terrible after the flight!

IMPORTANT!!! If you’re planning a trip for your spring or summer holidays don’t forget to check accommodation in that place through www.airbnb.com website!!! There you can find crazily cheap, unique interior & perfectly located apartments! And The Most Important  if you’re using www.airbnb.com for the first time register through this link:  www.airbnb.com/c/kamiled53   and you will get 30 EUROS discount for your first trip!!!!

Places to eat

The best places for eating we found really near to our home, because all the spots near to the Duomo Cathedral were really touristic, overpriced and we didn’t like them at all.

1. For breakfast I would definitely recommend “Gelateria Toldo Di Cipriano” this place was in front of our home and we ate here two times in the morning! In this cafe you can find many types of croissants (my favourite was with pistachio cream) & a perfect Italian coffee!

2.For a perfect Italian pizza & a really warm Italian service I would recommend “Taverna Del Borgo Antico” we accidentally found this place next to our home and we loved it!! We ate there two times and it was amazing!

3. For a perfect Italian ice cream I would recommend this luxurious cafe “Cioccolatitaliani” they make amazing gelato icecream and serve it in a really beautiful way!

4. For an Aprerol Spritz coctail with extraordinary view I would recommend to visit “Terrazza Aperol” I don’t know about the food in this place, but the view and coctails was great. Even though it cost 12 euros it was worth it!

Must visit places

Of course, everyone knows that the most adorable & visited place is “Duomo Cathedral” and it’s actually really beautiful! We bought tickets which cost 12 euros (no discounts for students:/) and went to explore this amazing place from above! The view was great and we were really happy being able to see all this architectural miracle from closer!

All the historical places we have visited:

  • Duomo cathedral
  • Parco Sempione
  • Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
  • Arco della Pace
